launched in 2009, wink is a fashion magazine with a difference. starting out as a purely digital venture, it's now has funding to be published and features some incredible art photography. have a look for yourself as all back issues can be viewed online.....

lottie + doof

lottie and doof was started by foodie obsessed doof (lottie was his grandma who hated to cook) who after studying art theory and practice realised he liked dinner parties more than he did art. he confesses himself that a lot of his recipes are 'adaptations' of other recipes but none the less they are still pretty tasty looking. have a look at the sour cream, cherry, tequila ice pops - who cares if it's before 6pm on a wednesday. yum!

have a look at the sensitive photography of siebe, a 22 year old woodworker, born and raised in bergen op zoom. he started experimenting with photography in 2006. in the 1950's his grandfather was the owner of an arts centre named "de vetpan". in this building people could watch theatrical shows, sunday movies and performances from the local orchestra. late in 2008 siebe started publishing his work under the name of "de vetpan studios".

off harper road

out and about in town last week i popped into the 2nd year interactive and moving image show at elephant and castle from the london college of communication. The brief asked the students to investigate the local community and respond in a respectful and appropriate manner to their surroundings. the concept was to interact and nurture a conversation with the neighbouring area and people. on display for four hours only the show encompassed four team projects in a soon-to-be demolished enclave of flats within the local area. the lit-up boxes project was particularly resonating and inspired within the setting of the half empty flat.
